Title: EU Headlight
Post by: deepseamdv on June 07, 2018, 01:56:04 PM
I must change the headlight on my USA GTR1400 to meet the German TUV requirements. It must have the ECE "E" marking. If you know of a used headlight please let me know.

Thank you.

The light on Ebay is advertised as EU compliant but it does not have the required marking. The same is true for the ones advertised and sold in both France and the UK. Germany and in particular Bavaria are very strict about what is and isn't allowed. When I got here I had a BST Carbon Fiber front wheel that is JWL and DOT certified. It is recognized and allowed world wide except Germany. I have applied for an exemption for the wheel. Pretty much all after market parts must be tested in a "German" test center for each vehicle before being allowed and given an ABE approval. Kind of where CA is headed.
