Just goes to show, you simply cannot ruin a KiPass thread- they are pre- ruined to start with.

I think you do need the code to activate any fob that has not been registered to that bike before. Unless it is specifically possible to register a RFID fob (or RFID portion of an RF fob) without the code but in the presence of an active, correctly registered RF fob?

I am not sure about this but at any rate, it would be a great idea to always keep the packaging that any fob comes with just to be sure you have what you need to use that fob.

Correction. The 'CC' fob may not need the code numbers since all it does is deactivate the immoblizer. Brian knows more about this.

Yes that's the "credit card" fob. Besides having the physical key it also has a RFID chip in it and can be used to start the bike by holding it in the correct orientation on the little protrusion in front of the stove knob. As can the regular FOB when the battery dies.

Nah, back in the day there were wood carvings and before that, paintings on cave walls. Which is why Neanderthals probably went extinct- sitting around the cave, looking at the pictures while Cro Magnon folk were out hunting and inventing stress related illnesses.
