If you want switched power I used the front accessory leads under the top left black fairing.
If you go to the accessory lead on the front left side of the bike you don't have to deal with the tank.
I would be interested to know how you routed the wiring without moving the tank.
take off the right inner cover (black plastic panel), and its a big empty space there all the way down to the battery area.
take off the battery cover (plastic panel), and you can just push a wire down that space to get to the battery's positive terminal.
with all the covers back in place, no wires are visible.
great time to hookup a fuzeblock.
and it will eliminate 99% of current draw from your accessory plug (plug will only be used to determined "switched" power)
