I'm new around here
« on: July 17, 2011, 07:21:55 AM »
New here, bought my 1995 Concours yesterday.  I've owned bikes since 1984 and finally made the leap from Superbikes into the 1990s!

Got this very clean, well maintained ZG1000 from a nice old gentleman here in town from a Craigslist ad with 40,700 miles on it.

I'm interested in learning as much as I can about these bikes and look forward to gleaning the wealth of information here that I've already started to dig into.

Pretty pretty bike! Now go get dirty. I don't have a bike and still entertaining buying a Can-Am at this point in my life.....wish it was a Connie.....soooooooo.....don't let the "others" in your life stop you from getting on that bike and flying in the good weather ...cuz' where you live you don't have much of it! Enjoy your life.....it's not a do over!

Welcome to the jungle, we got what you need.
Good looking bike Pete, you have stumbled onto a wealth of knowledge here. And sometimes some sarcasm, enjoy both.
How well did the P.O. take care of her? She looks pretty good from the pics. Good luck with her and ride safe. And again, welcome.
Ride safe all.

Welcome, and I know where Fond du Lac is. I'll be blasting through Sconi in a coupla weeks, a slab burn to Minnesnowta.

Looks like you have plenty of opportunity for Farkeling there. Murphs'  is as good a place as any to start.

Hot 'nuff for ya?

Nice 1995!  after I totalled my 2004, I bought a garage queen 1995 with almost no miles on it but is was clean and shiney like yours.   It has not looked that way since 2006.  Thanks for posting the pictures, it is good to be reminded of how nice they look clean.  Welcome and Good Luck
Yep, still riding the old one

Thanks for the welcome and the replies.

I'm interested in a few things to add/enhance to the bike:

Tank Protector

Luggage Rack/Backrest (not sure about a trunk)

Seat - maybe
